Graham Myers - 1100 mile cycle ride

Graham Myers2.PNG

One of our lodge members, Graham Myers, is going to spend the next four weeks, in the saddle, cycling the length of the UK to raise funds for a very worthy International cause.

Starting around the 10th/12th May Graham will be attempting a charity cycle challenge – Lands End to John O’Groats (known as LEJOG or the ‘End to End’).

He is cycling by himself, unsupported, on a normal hybrid bike with all his stuff in panniers and will arrange B&Bs as he travels.  Total distance for the route Graham has planned, which avoids busy roads, is just under 1,100 miles and it will probably take about four weeks.

The charity Graham is raising funds for is VISION AFRICA, a small charity run by volunteers, that he has known and supported for some time. They provide amazing help for large numbers of orphaned, abandoned and neglected children in Kenya.

Charity is at the very heart of Freemasonry and Graham is setting a wonderful example of individual action.
